Seahorse Cartoon Character Reference

    Finally finished the coloring of my hand drawn sketch of a cartoon seahorse character.  I haven't thought of a name for him yet, I will turn it over in my head for a while until I come up with something.  Definitely I am considering using him in a story and possibly drawing him again, this time doing more than just modeling him as I am doing here.

    This original character was inspired by Disney's Fish Hooks.  Specifically, Mr. Baldwin.  I liked the over all concept of the cartoon as a whole, but found that I did not like the style of the cartoon.  I think it is very ugly.  So, I did my own version and eventually decided to do my own original character instead of a fan art.  I think my anthro cartoon seahorse is a much more appealing version than what the creators of Fish Hooks had done.
This drawing was done by hand with just graphite drawing pencils on Strathmore sketch paper.  Then later after I got Autodesk Sketchbook Pro 6, I decided to practice using it with this sketch.  I am somewhat limited as to what I can do with this program since I do not have a electronic pressure sensitive sketch pad and stylus.  Everything was done by the mouse on my laptop.  I hope to fix this problem later next year as well as get the next version of Sketchbook so I can also do animations.  I so want to do that!
